Empowering Highly Sensitive Children

“The rates of depression, anxiety and mental health struggles are continuing to increase in young people. Without a doubt, many of the young people that are struggling with their mental health are Highly Sensitive Children.

If you’re a professional that works with young people, this training will enable you to support the social-emotional learning and well-being of Highly Sensitive Children through a practical and integrative framework that you can apply to your professional work.

This course will give you the knowledge and skills needed to be an advocate for Highly Sensitive Children and will prepare you to educate others about HSP/HSC. It offers a framework as well as practical tools and resources you can use with Highly Sensitive Children in a professional setting.” Jules de Vitto, The Highly Sensitive Human Academy.

Jules reached out to me recently to let me know about her new course designed for anyone—parents, teachers, educators, professional coaches/counsellors, therapists, psychologists (etc)—interested in supporting Highly Sensitive Children. It is a 3-Month Professional Training Certificate For Empowering Highly Sensitive Children.

I don't specifically work with children myself, nor do I work with Jules, and I cannot speak directly about her course. This post is not any kind of guarantee about the course quality. But, I am aware that some of my clients and networks have concerns about their own children, and/or about increasing rates of youth depression and anxiety (etc).

On top of that, as there's low awareness in general about the Highly Sensitive trait, I assume there's even less awareness about highly sensitive children. I imagine that Jules's work in this arena is probably meeting a very real need.

The course information looks comprehensive and professional. It also aligns well with my own interest and work in the field of High Sensitivity. (If you don’t know what High Sensitivity means, please do check out a couple of my other blog posts for more information).

And, if you decide to enrol or find out more, please do let me know your thoughts, as I’d be curious to hear.
